Commemoration of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday

January 17, 2022

The African and African American Affinity Group (A5) would like to commemorate and reflect on the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. during this national holiday. As we begin this year, we acknowledge and advance awareness of the spirit of service, solidarity, and justice that we strive for as NSF NCAR, UCAR, and UCP employees, Americans, and global citizens. In the words of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. “...Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.” Let us consider the state of our society, workplace, and communities by reflecting on what we can do to promote mutual respect and equity for all.
