Dear Colleagues,
Memorial Day is a time of both remembrance and celebration. As we enter the long weekend, I am mindful that the holiday is a time of grief, pride, and remembrance for families who are missing loved ones, lost while serving in our armed forces. To any UCAR staff members who have lost family or friends, I extend my sincere condolences and hope that this weekend can be a time for commemorating and honoring their memory.
Among the weekend's festivities, I know that many of you will be running the BolderBoulder road race with the NCAR/UCAR team this year, and I wish you all luck and good weather on Monday. Whether you are running or watching from the sidelines in Boulder, or gathering across the country with family and friends to celebrate in some other way, I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.
With best wishes to all of you for a safe and restful holiday.
