Leigh Amadi Dunewood (she/her) serves as the Access, Culture, and Opportunity coordinator in UCAR's Office of Access, Culture, and Opportunity. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts from Bowling Green State university in Ethnic Studies and Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. She then continued her learning and professional development at the University of Maryland where she earned her Master of Education in Higher Education, Student Affairs, and International Education Policy. At UMD, she explored her research interests related to the identity development of Black, queer, and disabled students of minoritized gender identities who attend historically white institutions.
When she's not engaging her related interests in programming, training, and research for work, Leigh can typically be found journaling or with her head in a book–expanding her knowledge of topics such as homemaking, gardening, restorative justice practices, and yoga.
